Why We Bought This Horse

  • Yesshewill was covered on May 29, 2021, by Accelerate and confirmed in foal.   Our anticipation is that this foal will be Maryland-bred.
  • This is a 2021 Individual Foal Offering and is subject to the WVS Individual Foal Program Addendum to the Wasabi Ventures Stables Thoroughbred Management Agreement.  Highlights of the program:
    • Fixed Price on the Offering - No Ongoing Bills
    • Limited Exposure - Like WVS Racing Programs, there is no chance for Future Expenses. If the Foal offering loses money, WVS absorbs those costs
    • Finite-Time - The Foal Offering will be liquidated at the time of his/her weaning from the mare, so you know when an offering ends.  Because you are not buying the mare, you have a finite time period of commitment (e.g. 6 to 18 months)
    • Reduced Risk - WVS will only open a Foal Offering once a mare has checked in foal to the chosen stallion
    • Perpetual Breeders Bonuses - Even after the foal is sold, a Club member can continue to earn breeding bonuses for the racing life of the horse.
    • You can watch a video about this program by visiting here.

The BASE PRICE of this foal is $29,000

  • Mare Lease/Stallion Fee - $10,000
  • Vanning Expense - $2,500
  • Boarding Fee Estimate - $13,250
  • Vet Estimate - $1,500
  • Registration Fees (Jockey Club and State Fees) - $500

Tidbits from the Pedigree

Yesshewill brings an incredible pedigree to the breeding shed.

Not only is she a daughter of the leading racehorse, leading sire, and leading broodmare sire Giant's Causeway (whose daughters have produced no fewer than 169 stakes winners, led by the likes of Gun Runner), but Yesshewill is a half-sister to no fewer than FOUR stakes winners (including a G1 winner, a G2 winner, and a G3 winner) plus two additional stakes producing sisters, one of whom is the dam of a multiple champion runner.

Yesshewill's half-brother Stormello (by Stormy Atlantic, a son of Storm Cat just like Giant's Causeway) won the G1 Hollywood Futurity and G2 Norfolk at 2YO, while My Best Brother (also by Stormy Atlantic) won the G2 Del Mar Derby on turf at 3.  Gala Award (by Bernardini) won the G3 Palm Beach Stakes on turf at 3, while Cherry Lodge (also by Bernardini) was a turf sprint stakes winner and placed in the G1 Spinaway on dirt at 2YO (and now has her first two foals on the ground by the likes of Quality Road and Curlin).  Yesshewill's full-brother Greatest Game was G3-placed at 2, while her winning half-sister Atlantic Voyage (by Stormy Atlantic) is the dam of Canadian champion 2YO and 3YO filly Curlin's Voyage (by Curlin) and the stakes-placed Brass Compass (by Malibu Moon).  Finally, her half-sister Ever So Pretty (by Stormy Atlantic) is the dam of 2YO stakes-placed winner Barbarossa (by More Than Ready).

As impressive as that is under her first dam, Yesshewill's extended pedigree is just as deep:  her second dam is a stakes winner, produced four stakes winners, is the granddam of an another nine stakes winners and great granddam of three more so far.  Then there are another seventeen stakes winners under Yesshewill's G2 winning third dam.

Yesshewill’s first foal is the Dialed In gelding Call Me Later, who broke his maiden in a 6 furlong Presque Isle maiden special weight earlier this year, while her second foal, the Kitten’s Joy filly Carson’s Kitten, placed twice at Churchill last year at 2YO.  Yesshewill also has an Uncle Mo yearling filly in the pipeline, and is in foal to Eclipse Champion Accelerate for 2022.

In addition to his hugely successful racing career, which culminated in his winning the G1 Breeders’ Cup Classic and four other G1s during his championship season, Accelerate also comes from the Smart Strike sire-line just like Curlin, who has already crossed well with this female family to produce champion Curlin’s Voyage, and the nick of Lookin At Lucky (Accelerate’s sire) with Giant’s Causeway mares rates an A+.

Physically, Yesshewill is a good-sized, well-made mare in the Giant’s Causeway mold, and should prove easy to mate conformationally, as she will fit a wide range of stallions.
