Pedigree thoughts from Housatonic Bloodstock:
Vibrant Spirit is one of six foals to run and win out of her winning dam Spirit Line, and five of those six (including Vibrant Spirit) are full-siblings by this country's best turf sire, Kitten's Joy. The best of Vibrant Spirit's siblings is Sassy Kitten, a stakes winner on dirt and turf who earned $232,790 during her career, while Great Cross won five races and $130,458. Still to come are a 2-year-old full-sister (as yet unnamed) and another yearling filly by Kitten's Joy, as well. An Eclipse Champion Turf Horse on the track, Kitten's Joy is already the sire of 94 stakes winners, good for 6.5% of his foals of racing age, including 2019 G1 winner Henley's Joy. Vibrant Spirit's dam, Spirit Line, was a winner of $105,644 during her own racing career, and is a daughter of the exceptional sire Indian Charlie (also responsible for the likes of Uncle Mo), while Spirit Line's granddam, Bemissed, was a Grade 1-winning 2-year-old by British Triple Crown winner Nijinsky II, who went on to produce the Epsom Oaks-G1 winner Jet Ski Lady. Although Vibrant Spirit's pedigree doesn't contain the inbreeding to Roberto that has been so effective for Kitten's Joy, she is inbred 5x5 to the foundation mare Special through the closely-related pair of Sadler's Wells and Nureyev -- and these two factors will be well-worth exploiting when the time comes to send her to the breeding shed, where daughters of Kitten's Joy have already produced no fewer than seven stakes winners.
