UPDATE 2/9/21: Mission Good Karma delivered a healthy Flameaway colt, who we have nicknamed Manchego.
UPDATE 3/9/21: Mission Good Karma checked in foal to Flameaway.
Mission Good Karma is a hard-knocking daughter of grade 2 winning millionaire Mission Impazible, out of the multiple stakes-winning Wildcat Heir mare, Karmageddon. After debuting as a June 2yo at the maiden special weight level, Mission Good Karma made an impressive 8 starts in her freshman year. She went on to score three wins in 37 career starts, and hit the board 21 times through age 5 to earn over $97k on the track. Each of her wins was scored while sprinting on the dirt. Mission Good Karma is currently in foal on an early cover to the exciting first-year stallion Flameaway -- a multiple graded stakes winner with earnings over $911k and wins on every surface -- with what will be her first foal.
Mission Good Karma's is a half-sister to the remarkably exciting 3yo filly, Naked Avenger, by Congrats. In just 3 starts last year at 2yo, Naked Avenger has already earned over $175k. In her debut, Naked Avenger scored an impressive win in the slop at Saratoga by open lengths. In her very next start, she triumphed in the Joseph A. Gimma Stakes at Belmont Park over a fast track. Most recently, she was a gallant second in the Maid of the Mist Stakes going a mile, after failing to swap leads in the stretch. She is currently breezing regularly in Florida toward her 3yo debut.
Their dam, Karmageddon, earned over $288k in 18 career starts from ages 2 to 4. She scored 5 wins from 6-8.5 furlongs on dirt, including 3 stakes wins in the New Jersey Juvenile, Princeton Stakes, and Jersey Girl Handicap. Additionally, she was stakes-placed in the Miss Woodford Stakes, the Open Mind Handicap, and the Robert M. O'Malley Stakes. As a broodmare, all 4 of her foals of racing age have started and are multiple winners.
Mission Good Karma's second dam, Kismet, by Kissin Kris (himself by the great sire and broodmare sire Kris S.) produced 4 foals, who were all winners. In addition to Karmageddon, she also produced the very tough, hard-knocking gelding Beacon Beach, by Straight Man. In 56 career starts from ages 2 to 7, Beacon Beach scored 8 victories and hit the board 21 times to earn over $242k. Beach Badge, a half-sister to Karmageddon, has produced Evil Monkey, a still-active stakes-placed winner of $141k in 20 starts to date.
