NOTE: This is not a claim. We purchased this Florida-bred colt at the OBS 2YO sale in June 2018. He was Hip #575.

UPDATE on 7/23/18: Doing great and worked 3/8ths in :37 this morning at Gulfstream Park.
UPDATE on 7/25/18: The Jockey Club approved his new name, Watch Your Step.
UPDATE on 8/20/18: Per our 2 YO program we have added $6,000 in pre-paid training to the pricing.
UPDATE on 10/5/18: Debut time with his first race at Gulfstream Park.
Why Did We Buy Him:
-- This Florida-bred Rattlesnake Bridge out of a Delaware Township mare had a lovely conformation. The horse walked correctly and cleanly and vetted cleanly too. From our blood stock agent, Adam Parker of T Square Stud, the colt had a high grade at the under tack preview and passed physical inspection. Adam was able to get the winning bid at $15,000.
-- If you watch the video attached above you will see a horse that moves with a long stride and drops his head as he strides out.
-- The horse will be moving to Gulfstream Park and be in the hands of veteran trainer Ronnie Spatz as he begins his training for a debut. The horse is first going to be gelded and will spend 14 days at T Square Stud in Ocala, Florida before catching a ride down to Gulfstream Park.
NOTE on PRICING: As it was not a claim and because the horse will have some months of training before it begins racing, we are including 2 months of estimated training bills ($6,000) to offset the initial cost. These costs will of course be settled when this horse concludes his racing career with us. The price also includes the $1,000 in auction vetting plus Florida sales tax. The accounting is that we spent $15,000 on the horse + $900 in Florida Sales Tax + $1,000 in auction expense + $6,000 in training expenses (you get this credited to the your account on settlement).
NOTE on NAMING: We are going to run a naming process on the horse. Anyone that becomes a part of this 2 YO will have a vote in the naming of him. For each .5% you own, you get one vote on the name selection from the three final name choices.
OUR NAMING PROCESS IS CLOSED.
Bloodstock Agent Report from Housantonic Bloodstock:
After breaking his maiden impressively first time out over 6 furlongs, Rattlesnake Bridge ran a clear 2nd to reigning Champion (and now leading sire) Uncle Mo in just his second start. He scored a gutsy victory in the Long Branch Stakes going a mile-and-a-sixteenth as a 3-year-old, then was 2nd in the Grade 1 Travers and 3rd in the Grade 2 Pennsylvania Derby before contesting the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Classic. Off for over a year after that, he returned with an allowance victory at a mile before running 3rd in the Grade 3 Westchester Stakes as a 5-year-old. Rattlesnake Bridge a son of North America's highest-priced stallion, and promising sire-of-sires, Tapit.
This colt's dam, Dare I Dream, has already thrown four winners, including the stakes-placed winner Distinction Bird. Dare I Dream is a half-sister to stakes winner and stakes producer Devil's Tail, plus five other winners from all her dam's foals to race, and her dam is a half-sister to Group 3 winner Blue Daisy, and to the Group 1-placed runner and stakes producer Flyaway Bride, the granddam of millionaire stakes winners Deep Summer and Are Blanca. Dare I Dream is by the tough sprinter Delaware Township, who won 11 of 21 starts, including the Grade 1 De Francis Dash and the Grade 1 Forego at Saratoga.
Further back there is some turf and distance breeding on this page, but close-up it's all about sprinting speed.
